4 Site Recirculating Deep Water Culture (RDWC) Hydroponic System
Description
Our 4 grow site RDWC system is perfect for a 4'x4' or 5'x5' space.
In a Recirculating Deep Water Culture (RDWC) System, water is actively pumped and circulated via a pump through the connected buckets from the central reservoir. The roots of the plants are continuously submerged in a nutrient and oxygen-rich water solution growing healthier plants with greater yields.
Four 5-gallon grow sites connected by 50mm PVC pipe to a shared reservoir with 5-gallon capacity. The system uses an air pump to feed a large air stone in each grow site that provides oxygen directly to the water around the plant's roots. The water pump circulates the oxygen-rich nutrient solution from the reservoir to each grow site, keeping the nutrient solution constantly mixed and evenly distributed across each grow site. No need to top up each grow site individually, simply top up the reservoir as needed. No additional tools required.

Did you know?
- RDWC systems grow healthier plants with greater yield potential by providing plants with continuous access to water, oxygen, and nutrients
- Oxygenated water enables the plant roots to absorb nutrients more efficiently, increasing plant growth rate substantially
- Nutrients are evenly distributed to each connected grow site and maintain a consistent level across all grow sites
- The constant flow of water helps prevent algae, bacteria, and fungi from growing, while also keeping plant roots clean and healthy
- RDWC systems are relatively low maintenance; Check nutrient solution often and top up the as needed through the central reservoir; change the solution in the reservoir every one or two weeks
FAQs
Q: What size footprint is the system?
A: Artisun Technology's 4 Site RDWC System is designed to fit into a 4’x4’ or 5'x5' footprint.
Q: How frequently should you add nutrient solution to an RDWC System?
A: The reservoir level should be checked daily and topped up when needed. The nutrient solution consumption rate of the plants will depend upon the type, size and growth phase of the plants.
Q: How frequently should you change the nutrient solution in an RDWC System?
A: The nutrient solution should be drained and replenished every 1-2 weeks depending upon on the type and size of the plants.

Super easy to get started with an RDWC setup
Kit is super easy to install and get running. Instructions are good, shipping was as fast as a big heavy box can get to me. Was it more money than building something yourself? Yes. However Artisun was very responsive with questions I had and they helped me pick out the right kit for me. A month after transplanting some outdoor pepper plants into this setup and they are BOOMING with pods. I was so happy with this kit I bought two more for a total of 3.

Best solution on the market
Has everything needed for a RDWC kit. Nothing arrived damaged. I bought this because my home made attempt leaked and i didn't want to deal with further leaks. This has not leaked after a few days, the included hardware to tighten the pvc connections give me confidence that it wont leak. I like that the air pump has a dial so i can try to keep the noise down (and the airflow). 5 stars.

4 Bucket RDWC system.
Pros: Packaged fairly well, everything is black and light proof including the air hoses, All holes are cut very precisely and perfectly spaced (this ALONE makes this kit worth the $), high quality pumps, almost everything included, large PVC pipes w/ quality bulk heads and ZERO water leaks. The price is good for what you get too. You must remember this is food grade plastic which is very light proof. Cons: No instructions whatsoever, the lids need to have the security lid carefully trimmed off, FAQ says "2 days handling, 3-5 days ship time"- it took almost 2 weeks to receive this & shipping was nearly $60, the clay pellets were placed in flimsy zip-lock bags which partially opened during shipping, the level tube is too high and the net pots are in the water (there is supposed to be a gap between the water level and bottom of net pot once the plants have grown past seedling stage. The supplied PVC needs to be cut down and something adjustable threaded on), the drain hose supplied is too short & IMO it would be nice if there were spots to put strings for low stress training (I don't want to drill holes.)

RDWC First timer lovin' it. ❤️
Love my system so far, absolutely easy enough to put together. Now getting ready to fill halfway and check for leaks then let run for a couple hours to test an flush real good then drain it then refill it again, get water level set, run it 24 hours then pH it an check temp then load my netpots. Will do a one week review.

RDWC system
Haven't had time to set it up yet. Getting ready to this coming week. Will do a review with pics once up an running. Customer service is absolutely the best.
